Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

I am centrally located near Center City, Old City, Washington Square West, and Society Hill at the intersection of South 8th Street  and Manning Street in Philadelphia PA. I will be moving to 1518 Walnut St. Suite 906 in July 2019.

What are your fees?

My fee for  individual therapy is $175 per session and $200 a session for couples therapy.  Session length and frequency can be discussed at our first meeting.

I occasionally reduce my fee for patients who cannot afford full-cost therapy. If you are in this category, feel free to ask me about the sliding scale option.

Given the complexity of psychological evaluations, I would be happy to discuss your needs on the phone or in person to give you a more precise idea regarding time frame and cost of services.

What is your cancellation policy?

I reserve your appointment time for you, as a result, you will be billed at your regular session fee if a full 24 hours notice is not given for a cancellation or rescheduling request, or if you no show the appointment.

The cancellation policy applies to all clients, even those whose insurance plans I participate with. While I am not allowed to bill your insurance for missed sessions, I am permitted to bill you directly in these instances.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept Penn Behavioral Health Insurance (soon to be Quest Behavioral Health) and for all other insurances I am considered an "out-of-network provider." This means that clients can submit my bill to their insurance company for reimbursement of a portion of my fee, if their plan allows. Talk to your insurance company to find out the specifics of your mental health coverage.
